St Lukes Hospital
Hospitals, not a popular topic. Nor is seeing someone you love having to stay in one. But it is a part of life that I have come to greatly appreciate in recent years. Rather than fear this place, I've learned to see it as a place of healing and to cherish the people who have worked and sacrificed a large portion of their life in order to save ours. Just this last year I incurred a sports injury that fractured my left orbital, sinus wall and broke my nose. I was first told I would need total reconstructive surgery but in the end, luckily, it was avoided though I am still healing 10 months later. For me it's an emotional place as I've gained, healed and also lost in several medical facilities, yet I keep gaining respect for these professionals.
