Elder Veteran's Session
My Grandfather was a Pearl Harbor survivor. My uncle did two tours marching through the jungles of Vietnam. A college roommate of mine came to school from the front lines of Iraq. Many men who see real combat and live carry a dignified stature. Here are a few good men.
I had the privilege of photographing 20+ distinguished gentlemen who served in our military. They all live in an assisted living community. For each veteran I would introduce myself and hear different quips and stories. Several took a minute to warm up to the camera, after all, these are the toughest men from the tough generation. Yet all seemed to enjoy the experience and there were even a couple of real hams in the bunch.
All photographs were taken using a green screen portrait studio setup.
